Coming up with a name for the blog was such a task. Seyi and my best friend, Etimbuk, came up with so many lovely names (thanks guys!) which together inspired the search and ultimately my find of the name, Sociotectonic.
Sociotectonic is the combination of two words, socio and tectonic. According to Merriam Webster Dictionary, Socio means social and social means tending to form cooperative and interdependent relationships with others. Tectonic means having a strong and wide spread impact. Therefore, sociotectonic is cooperative and interdependent relationships that has a strong and widespread impact.
The blog would be a synergy of those who believe in promoting and engaging in social enterprise and Corporate Social Responsibility and the effect will be felt all over Africa and the world at large. So, the name fits properly into this vision.
