Guerlain- The review

Guerlain is a French luxury brand that has been in existence for centuries. A number of Nigerians seem to know them for their fragrance and do not realize that they actually have some of the best makeup items which are reflected in the post published by the runner up of the ideal man, Oyindamola. A few weeks back, I had a Day Out With Guerlain, and was given a few goodies. SInce then, I have continually used the products in order to enable me do a review. I also engaged the services of some of my colleagues and review partners. You too can become a review partner by indicating your interest.

Here are some of the products which we have been able to review

Shalimar

Jude: It has a wonderful blend of alcohol and fruits which gives it a strong and sweet smell. It is a fragrance whose smell exudes confidence from the wearer from the packaging which is a deep blue pack and the bottle is shaped like a trophy which is a sign of winning and the smell perfects everything

Guerlain La petite Robe noire Body Milk

Oma: This product has become my best friend because of its scent. Like the perfume, it has a pleasant smell that is long lasting. I leave it in my makeup bag and whenever I bring my makeup bag out, the scent comes out with it that everyone begins to ask what fragrance it is only to find out it is a lotion. It is perfect for a sweaty day since it is dry and won’t make you sweat. Yet, if you are one with a dry skin, it can still take care of you maybe with just a little oil. Also, it contains a shimmer that makes you sparkle in the sun as it leaves you with glitters.

Guerlain Kajal

Paula: It does not smudge but I wish it was darker in shade.

Oma: It has a dramatic packaging which looks like an ink in an ink bottle.

Guerlain Gilda 27 lipstick

Oma: It is sheen based which doesn’t make it stay as long as a matte lipstick. However, it keeps my lips moisturized and flatters my skin tone. For a long lasting effect, you can use a lip primer.

Vivian: The gloss is not creamy which I guess is responsible for its long lasting effect. It does smell like petroleum jelly though. I have tried using it alone and over a lipstick to add shine to the lipstick and I loved it both ways. I would have loved it more if it had a sweet sensation. Notwithstanding, I do recommend the product to everyone as it is a lip gloss with a difference

Guerlain Mascara

Oma: The brush is quite small but yet creates the desired dramatic effect. The shade is dark enough and quite visible to make my lashes look fuller and longer.

Guerlain 24 karat primer

Oyinda: It leaves my makeup radiant with very little shine. 

Guerlain Makeup Purse

Oma: It is so classy that I was tempted to use it as a clutch purse. It looks small but contains all my Guerlain goodies. I love it plenty. Won't be changing it anytime soon. 

General remarks

Telling you about the product is not as effective as when you do experience the product. Visit the Essenza store in Ikeja and purchase any of the products. The scent and the package of every of their product is sure to draw you closer. Which would be your first?
